Saturday, June 4, 2022 - 9:00am to 5:00pm
Cost:
Free

Witness the British invade Haddonfield and be challenged by Continental troops, just as they did 244 years ago, in June 1778. Redcoats on horseback charge, muskets are fired, and the Continentals try to stop the redcoats before they head off to the Battle at Monmouth.

General Washington had ordered the militia to “annoy” the Redcoats, and so troops will again. The clash and a day-long event surrounding it takes place on and around Kings Highway.

This town-wide events includes activities such as a Colonial medicine demo, Colonial-era toys and games, graveyard rubbings and scavenger hunt, yelling contest, Colonial dancing, pillory prisoners, character reenactors, and a place to escape the noise and find sanctuary.

Free and open to the public.  Activities start at 9am; the skirmish hosted by The Friends of the Indian King starts at 2pm. (Rain Date: Sunday, June 5)
